This book is a description of the development of the paintings commissioned by the Union Oyster House, America’s oldest restaurant from 1995 - 1997. The commission consisted of a series of paintings relating to the American Revolutionary War and how its location was connected to various parts of Boston’s history. The paintings, in their Heritage Room depict scenes from the life of Boston publisher and patriot, Isaiah Thomas and his influence on the early stirrings of the war.
